Martial arts throw
Ninpo Taijutsu 忍法体術
Genbukan Ninpo is a complete martial arts system, made up of many traditional and modern styles.
You will learn a wide range of techniques that include rolling and break-falls, blocking and striking, as well as locks, throws and more.
Training in the traditional Japanese way teaches patience, discipline and perseverance. This benefits yourself and others, both inside and outside of the Dojo.
Martial arts wrist lock
Self-defence 玄武館護術
Learn unarmed self-defence techniques, including how to defend yourself from attack and escape from various catches and holds using the bodies weak points.
Size and strength should not matter when it comes to defending yourself. Anyone can learn effective self-defence and gain confidence as well as a better awareness of yourself and your surroundings.
Traditional japanese sword cut
Bikenjutsu 秘剣術
Genbukan Ninpo Bugei sword training is referred to as Bikenjutsu (secret sword techniques) due to the nature of the techniques.
The study of the sword in the Genbukan system also has ten Kyu levels until black belt to ensure true proficiency and correct spirit in the use of the traditional sword. How to use correct stance, how to cut correctly and how to draw the sword are all taught in this curriculum.
Traditional staff technique
Bojutsu 棒術
Learn traditional and self-defence techniques using the 3ft (Hanbo) and 6ft (Rokushakubo) staff.
The Hanbo has many applications as a self-defence tool (think walking stick or umbrella) against both unarmed and knife attack, as well as against various holds and catches.
Rokushakubo training consists of many stances, strikes and strategies against a swordsman and forms the basis for more advanced training using the Yari (spear) and Naginata (halberd).
